I'm a Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Economics at the
University of California, Irvine.
I received a 'Laurea' in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan in 2000 and a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University in 2006.
My main areas of research are Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, International Macroeconomics, and Time Series Econometrics.
In my research, I try to understand the impact that deviations from rational expectations, learning behavior, and psychological factors, have on macroeconomic fluctuations.
