John Duffy is Professor of Economics at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and is affiliated with the Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER) at Osaka University. He previously served on the faculty of the University of Pittsburgh (1992–2014). He received his A.B. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley (1986) and his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (1992). His research spans behavioral and experimental economics, macroeconomics, game theory, and finance. Duffy’s work appears in leading journals including the American Economic Review, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Finance, Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Economic Theory, and the Review of Economics and Statistics, and has been supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation and other agencies.
