Psych 160. Introduction to Cognitive Neuroscience (Also PsyBeh P192L, BioSci N166)
An introductory course discussing topics in cognitive neuroscience. Includes discussions on the brain basis of visual perception, object recognition, attention, language, memory and emotions. Emphasis is on findings from neuroimaging, EEG, brain stimulation, patient populations, and computations models.
Prerequisites: Psychology 9A-B or Biological Sciences 35, or consent of instructor, or Psychology and Social Behavior P9 or equivalent. Same as Psychology and Social Behavior P192L.

Psych 161V. Cognitive Neuroscience of Vision
Topics to be discussed will include questions and findings in higher level vision, including object perception, face perception, visual attention and awareness. All topics will be discussed in terms of the neural basis of these cognitive processes (i.e. fMRI, PET, single-unit recording, brain stimulation). And we will also be talking about what happens when the brain systems underlying these processes fail - such as object agnosia, prosopagnosia, and neglect.

Psych 216. Introduction to Cognitive Neuroscience

Emphasis is on our understanding of the cortical networks underlying these cognitive processes. Will pull from relevant literature, including findings from neuroimaging, brain stimulation, patient populations, and computations models.
