Welcome to the Human Information Processing Laboratory in the Department of Cognitive Sciences and affiliated with the Institute for Mathematical Behavioral Science and the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior at the University of California, Irvine (UCI).

Fields of Research

Empirical studies of human information processing, visual memory systems, attention, visual perception.
Mathematical, computational, and neural models of visual processes: light adaptation, temporal sensitivity, contrast detection, motion and texture perception, stereopsis, attention, short-term memory systems.
Brain imaging: EEG, MEG, fMRI.
